We all know the difficulties of these times. People are forced to work form home. But that doesn’t stop Google to innovate and bring features to their ecosystem no one would ever wonder. Google held its annual event- Google I/O on May 18, 2021 and displayed what they’ve achieved to the world. Let’s see some of the flexes made by Google.
THE BIG NUMBER:
Google announced that there are now more than 3 Billion active Android devices in the world!
laMDA:
Google showed off its new laMDA AI Language Model which can have conversation with the user as that thing which you are try to get info about. In the demos at the event, the AI talked as Pluto and a Paper Airplane!

GOOGLE AND SAMSUNG COLLABORATED:
Google announced that their operating system for wearables- Wear OS (now called just Wear) and Samsung’s operating system for wearables- Tizen will be combined into a unified platform. This should lead to faster app launching and longer battery life.
PROJECT STARLINE:
Google demonstrated Project Starline, which uses high-resolution cameras and depth sensors to create a real-time 3D model of a person who is sitting across from you to recreate the feeling of having a face-to-face meeting.
ANDROID 12:
Google revealed that Android 12 will have a brand-new Material You design, with a whole lot of new changes. It offers a lot of colour and customization, and the new generation will even be able to change system colours to be able to match your wallpaper. It also offers some new privacy features, including a new privacy dashboard.
GOOGLE CAMERA UPDATES:
Google is working on updates to its camera and imaging products to make them better at capturing and reproducing skin tones, especially the darker tones, accurately in images.
MORE FEATURES IN FEATURE-PACKED GOOGLE PHOTOS:
Google Photos is getting impressive new cinematic moments that use two or more similar photos to create a moving image. The memories feature will now create memories based on visual patterns in your photos as well. Google is also adding a password-protected folder in Google Photos to let you store photos secretly. These photos won’t appear when you are scrolling in the app.
CHANGE PASSWORD RIGHT FROM THE PASSWORD MANAGER:
Google announced that it’s adding a way to change a stored password for a website right from inside Google’s password manager. It is rolling out gradually to Chrome on Android in the US and will be widely available in the coming months.
